Apple is reportedly focusing on a new foldable iPad Model with 5G network enabled. As per media reports, this new iPad model may launch it in 2020. These rumors are actually based on London’s global information provider IHS Market’s analyst Jeff Lin. 9To5Mac reported on Friday that Apple is silently working on such a device.
9to5Mac also reported: “The product would apparently feature MacBook sized screens, which isn’t too much of a stretch given that the iPad Pro already tops out in a 12.9-inch size. However, it is easy to imagine how an iPad mini-sized product that could unfold to 13 or 15-inch screen would be compelling.”
According to the analyst, the foldable iPad may also support a 5G cellular network for fast mobile Internet browsing. This new upcoming model will be the first 5G enabled model because no previous Apple devices support 5G connectivity. The company is anticipated to launch three new iPhone models this year.
Approximately all other major mobile phone companies have started and launching the 5G test networks in several cities worldwide. In May 2019, it was revealed that the iPhone maker’s plans of introducing its own iPhone 5G chip could take as long as six years, with its 5G chip making a debut in 2025.
