Facebook New Feature “Why am I seeing this post?”

This means you’ll be able to tap on posts and ads in News Feed

Facebook provides a new “Feature” for the users “Why am I seeing this post”. This feature will help the user to understand and then the control of the kind of posts appearing on their News Feed from different Groups, Pages and friends.

Facebook New Feature “Why am I seeing this post?”

This feature will allow the user to filter out the specific ads and post in News Feeds. Ramya Sethuraman, the Product Manager of Facebook mentioned in a blog post “This means you’ll be able to tap on posts and ads in News Feed, get context on why they’re appearing and take action to further personalize what you see.”

There are too many scandals are surrounding about the “Facebook” (The Social Media Giant) on misusing the user information for ad focusing. So Facebook took the first step to explain to users how exactly the News Feeds will become customized.

Ramya Sethuraman said, “This is the first time that we’ve built information on how ranking works directly into the app.”

Ramya Sethuraman further explained, “We have received valuable feedback over the years that has helped us expand the information we share with people about the ads they see.”

Facebook aims to allow users to customize and take actions to set up their News Feeds regarding their own choice.

Ramya Sethuraman further added, “Both of the updates are part of our ongoing investment in giving people more context and control across Facebook.”

With this improvement, Facebook users will feel comfortable to get specific and most relevant News Feeds from their Friends, Pages, and Groups
