Huawei announced FreeBuds Pro and FreeLace Pro

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro True Wireless Earphone and FreeLace Pro neckband earphones (Active Noise Cancellation) were announced at the company’s ‘Seamless Ai Life’ event, among many other products. The FreeBuds Pro is the world’s first real wireless stereo (TWS) earphone to support intelligent dynamic noise cancellation. The Huawei FreeLace Pro features a 14mm driver and noise cancellation of up to 40 dB.

Pricing and availability of Huawei Free Buds Pro and FreeLace Pro

The Huawei Free Buds Pro is priced at 199 euros and will be available in October. The Huawei FreeLace Pro is priced at 119 euros and will go on sale this month.

Huawei FreeBuds Pro key features

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro is a real wireless earphone, which features active noise cancellation to prevent ambient noise. The earphone’s hybrid noise-canceling technology faces both internal and external features. Earphones can also dynamically switch between different noise cancellation modes, depending on the amount of stimulus noise. For voice calls, there is a bone voice sensor that is claimed to provide better voice clarity.

Huawei Freebuds Pro will be offered in Silver Frost, Carbon Black, and Ceramic White. The earphones have interchangeable ear tips, and a small stem that supports touch gestures, much like the AirPods Pro. The battery life of the earphone is said to last up to seven hours on a single charge (up to four and a half hours with ANC) and up to 30 hours in total from this case.

They also include 11mm dynamic drivers and support Bluetooth 5.2. Huawei has not specified the types of codecs that are supported. The company says earphones can connect to two devices at once, including Android, iOS, Mac, and Windows devices.

According to Huawei, earphones can run all day with continuous playback on a single charge. The built-in USB Type-C port in the neckband supports Huawei’s high-peer feature that offers five hours of playback with a five-minute charging. The earphones will be provided in Dawn White, Spruce Green, Graphite, and Black. They support Bluetooth 5 and are rated IP55 for dust and water resistance.
