Lenovo Legion 7i, Legion 5Pi & 5i Gaming Laptops

Lenovo has launched its latest high-end Legion 7i 15 gaming laptop on 18 August. It is one of the company’s latest and powerful gaming laptops, powered by the Intel 10th Gen CPU and the new NVIDIA GPU.

Lenovo’s Legion laptop range aims at gaming and efficiency, offering high refresh rate displays vibrant with extreme accuracy of color. Lenovo has improved the new Legion gaming laptops over previous-generation models, particularly in keyboard and cooling. The Lenovo Legion 7i, Legion 5Pi, and Legion 5i are available in a single slate grey color.

The latest gaming laptop comes with up to 32GB of RAM and supports dual-drive storage options for up to a 1TB SSD storage solution based on PCIe 3.0. It has two speakers (2W) with Dolby Atmos assistance and an HD web camera.

Lenovo Legion 7i specifications

Lenovo’s Legion 7i comes with pre-installed Windows 10. It sports a full-HD 15.6-inch (1,920×1, 080 pixels) anti-glare IPS display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. There are two options for a peak brightness of 300 nits and 500 nits and displays with a response time of up to 1ms. The Legion 7i is powered by the Intel Core i9 H-series processor of up to 10th generation and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU with 8 GB VRAM. You can get up to 32GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2.933MHz and up to 1TB PCIe SSD for storage. It also offers dual drive configurations.

Two 2W Dolby Atmos speakers power the audio, and the battery capacity is 80Wh. Lenovo says that it can offer up to 8 hours longer battery life. Users can get WiFi 6 802.11AX (2 x 2), Bluetooth v5.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Gen-2 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, Ethernet, Thunderbolt 3 ports, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port with 1.4 Display Port assistance, and headphone/mic combo jack for connectivity.

Lenovo Legion 5Pi specifications

The Legion 5Pi offers a sleek HD IPS display with 100% sRGB pixel accuracy and up to 144Hz refresh rate and is Powered by a 10th generation Intel Core i7-10750H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. It comes with the Dolby Atmos sound with Harman Kardon speakers. The battery is the same as the Legion 7i with 80Wh, which is about 8 hours. It also comes with pre-installed Windows 10, with a weight starting at 2.5 kg.

Lenovo Legion 5i specifications

The more budget-friendly Legion 5i is also available with Windows 10 pre-installed option. It has a 15.6-inch full-HD display screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core i7-10750H processor and 6GB VRAM Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. Users will get up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, clocked at 2,933MHz, and up to 1 1 TB of PCIe SSD or 1TB of 7,200RPM HDD. The Legion 5i also supports an 80Wh battery.

The audio is handled by two Harman Kardon speakers (2W). Connectivity options includes three USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, WiFi 6 802.11AX (2 x 2), Bluetooth 5.0, USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 port, USB Type-C 3.1 port, HDMI 2.0 port, RJ45 Ethernet, and headphone / micro combo jack.
