Microsoft is introducing Hololens 2 “Developer Edition” headset today with the price about $3,500.
It is the exact price as the which will be sold to businesses later this year. Even though the initial commercial price of the HoloLens was $5,000. The original price of this development kit was $3,500, so there is no pricing concession for the developers this time.
The Package includes the HoloLens 2 hardware and Azure credits along with a free trial of Unity Pro and Unity PiXYZ Plugin for CAD data. Microsoft is additionally disclosing that “Unreal Engine 4” support is also available for HoloLens 2 for developers to start using by the end of May. This is an important release for developers, and it will surely allow the apps that include “photo-realistic” renders use with product design, architecture, manufacturing, and much more.

Microsoft however, has not set a specific launch day for the HoloLens 2. However, Microsoft is promising to deliver developer and commercial models later on this season.
