On the website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China, a new OnePlus phone has been identified. The certification listing indicates the phone will provide dual-mode 5 G coverage, as well as endorsing a variety of bands. The listing has the IN2010 model number of the upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro. It is expected that next year the company will launch three phones – OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite. The OnePlus 8 Pro reports say a hole-punch monitor and a rear quad camera system will be sporting to the handset.
The MIIT listing has been spotted by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore and it suggests a dual-mode 5 G compatibility for the OnePlus 8 Pro. Many frequency bands like n1, n41, n78, and n79 should be assisted by the handset. The listing of the upcoming phone reveals little else.
OnePlus released the OnePlus 7 T Pro 5 G this year, but made it exclusively for T-Mobile. We believe that phones should be available more commonly next year. The tipster claims that they should launch together with the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite phones, and they will be launched by February or March.
According to rumors, the OnePlus 8 Pro is tipped to sport a 120Hz fluid display, a hole-punch display, and a rear quad camera setup with a fourth ToF sensor to improve portrait shots depth. There is little else that is currently known about the OnePlus 8 Pro, but the phone should be powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC flagship.
As described above, alongside this time around, the company should also introduce the OnePlus 8 Lite and it should be a mellower version of the OnePlus 8. Leaked sketches on the OnePlus 8 Lite indicate a hole-punch monitor and dual camera rear setup.
OnePlus has announced its participation at CES 2020 and will unveil its first concept smartphone, ‘ Concept One.
