Samsung’s new Flagship phone is expected to be announced soon

If you’re looking forward to the next Samsung Galaxy flagship phone, the Galaxy S11, then go ahead and note February 11 your diary. It seems like the date for Samsung’s upcoming “Unpacked” press event, which last year was the time for the company to unveil the Galaxy S10, according to a newly-leaked video.

The Weinbach of XDA Developers downloaded promo video and was and first spotted by Twitter user @water8192 as an unlisted video on Samsung’s official Vimeo account.

The 15 seconds short video clip is not giving away too much. There are only two vague rectangular forms in the word “Galaxy” passing through a sheet of material instead of the letter A’s. One shape is more rectangular and the other more triangular, perhaps indicating that Samsung will unveil both a Galaxy S10 and a rumoured Galaxy Fold 2, but that’s just a guess for now.

The date is more precise: 11 February 2020. The event will also be live-streamed at Samsung’s official website, and — if the time is confirmed — you can also expect we will provide more information about the upcoming variant including images, videos, and hands-on impressions of any new devices.

We haven’t found much about what to expect from the next flagship mobile phone. Recreated sketches indicate a rectangular camera module on the rear (which fits the form that appears in the promo on the left); and a 120Hz refresh rate display, a 108-megapixel sensor for its primary camera, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. There’s also a possibility it’s going to be called the Samsung Galaxy S20 instead of the S11.

We know so little about a future Galaxy Fold 2, the first and troublesome foldable smartphone of the company’s successor. There have been some leaked photos of what the Fold 2 could be with a clamshell design, and signs point to a lower, more mass-market price (less than $1,000) featuring a new, more durable flexible glass display, but that’s it for now.

If the timeline for this Unpacked event is confirmed, we ought to know a lot more about February 11.
