The Apple TV app is now available on 2019’s LG TVs

According to a press release from the company, LG has made the Apple TV app available for its 2019 smart TVs as promised. The app will be available on TV in over 80 countries and provides users with access to the new Apple TV+ video subscription service from Apple, as well as the ability to rent or buy movies from iTunes.

LG TVs now support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit to sync wirelessly with Apple devices. The company announced last month at CES a new lineup of TVs for 2020 with the Apple TV app already loaded; at some point later this year, 2018 TVs will also be getting the app.

The new update must remove the need for a separate Apple TV 4 K box unless you want access to Apple TV OS App Store. For example, Apple Arcade games cannot be played without dedicated Apple TV hardware.

The redesigned Apple maps are now available to all in the US, Europe Next.

The announcement also means that Apple is now creating a webOS app technologically, which is something to think about.
