Whatsapp co-founder Brain Acton was appeared as a speaker in Stanford University beginning of this week. Where he talk about the selling of his company to Facebook and urged student to delete their Facebook accounts.

During that session he talk about why he sold Whatsapp to Facebook and why he left Facebook and criticized for to prioritize monetization over user privacy.

During this session he also said that major technology companies like Google and Apple struggled to moderate their content.

He said,

     “These companies are not equipped to make these decisions, and we give them the power. That’s the bad part. We buy their products. We sign up for these websites. Delete Facebook, right?”

This is not the first time he advice users to delete Facebook account. This happen right after he left Facebook in 2017 over the issues about the monetization of their services.
